This group offers the opportunity to slow down, explore your thoughts and feelings through creativity, and connect with others and a calm welcoming environment.

Using a range of materials and creative activities, you will be encouraged to express yourself in a way that feels comfortable for you. There is no art experience needed.

Suitable for: ages 6-9
When: Thursdays, 11:30-12:30
Where: Rainbow Rascals, Livingston

A fun, supportive wellbeing group for children who would like to build confidence, learn new coping skills and explore emotions through creative activities and discussion.

Over weekly sessions, children will discover practical ways to manage worries, navigate big feelings, build resilience and strengthen their emotional wellbeing. Using art, play, movement and mindfulness-based activities, each session offers opportunities to connect with others, develop self-awareness and create a personalised toolbox of strategies to use at home, school and beyond.

The group is designed to be engaging, relaxed and strengths-focused, with regulation and wellbeing activities woven throughout each session.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential.

Join us for a welcoming and creative therapeutic art workshop designed to bring families together. Led by a trained Art Therapist, this session offers parents, carers, and children the opportunity to connect, have fun, and explore creative activities that support emotional wellbeing. Through art-making, families will learn simple regulation tools and strategies to help manage feelings, strengthen relationships, and build resilience, all in a relaxed and supportive environment. No artistic experience is needed; just come along, create, and enjoy quality time together.

Mairi’s approach is always so warm, professional, patient and kind. My son has been having art therapy since summer last year and has really benefitted from the support to help him manage some challenging times. He feels he can be himself, loves the art they do & the freedom he has to explore his feelings through the great choice of art tools on offer that he’s not tried before. He has learnt some strategies that he's transferring - like drawing his feelings out to help process his thinking at night before bed when life feels a bit heavy for him.
